Please register at HERII Education Platform!

Follow the instructions

At HERI Institute, continuing education goes beyond traditional professional training. We develop a comprehensive portfolio of Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development (CME/CPD) activities designed to support healthcare professionals throughout their careers from focused updates in clinical practice to advanced, multidisciplinary professional development programmes.

HERI’s educational portfolio includes:

  • CME/CPD courses and certified training programmes
  • Short intensive and advanced professional courses
  • Long-term advanced learning programmes
  • Hands-on workshops and simulation-based training
  • Scientific conferences, seminars and expert masterclasses
  • Live and virtual webinars
  • On-demand digital learning modules
  • Blended learning programmes combining online and face-to-face education
  • Clinical case-based and problem-based learning
  • Interprofessional and multidisciplinary training
  • Micro-credential and competency-based learning pathways

National Credits System

HERI Institute develops educational activities in accordance with the requirements of the Albanian Continuing Education and Certification Programme, administered by the Agency for Quality Assurance of Health and Social Care (ASCK).

Eligible HERI activities are submitted for ASCK accreditation, and accredited programmes indicate the number of continuing education credits officially approved for participating healthcare professionals.

Through this framework, HERI supports physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, midwives, psychologists, social workers and other healthcare professionals in meeting their continuing professional development and certification requirements.

European-Oriented CME/CPD

HERI’s educational model is also designed with reference to European standards for continuing medical education and professional development, particularly the framework of the European Union of Medical Specialists – European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (UEMS–EACCME®).

The European system recognizes European CME Credits – ECMEC®s for accredited educational activities and provides a quality framework covering:

  • Live Education
  • Conferences
  • Workshops
  • Webinars
  • E-Learning
  • Blended Learning
  • Digital Platforms
  • Advanced Professional Courses

HERI aims to progressively develop educational activities that are suitable for national and, where applicable, European accreditation, while clearly distinguishing between ASCK-accredited national credits and European ECMEC® accreditation.

European CME accreditation is obtained only for activities formally approved through the relevant UEMS–EACCME® accreditation procedure.

Flexible Learning: From Short Courses to Advanced Programmes

Healthcare professionals have different educational needs at different stages of their careers. HERI therefore offers flexible learning pathways ranging from short, focused educational interventions to comprehensive advanced training programmes.

Short-format learning may include focused webinars, masterclasses, workshops, clinical updates and digital modules designed around specific competencies and current developments in healthcare.

Advanced short courses combine several interconnected modules, practical activities, assessments and clinical or professional applications to develop specialized competencies in a defined field.

Long-term advanced programmes provide more comprehensive professional development through structured modules delivered over several weeks or months. They may combine theoretical education, clinical cases, simulation, digital learning, mentoring, project work and competency assessment.

Where appropriate, these programmes may be structured according to European principles for micro-credentials and lifelong learning, documenting learning outcomes, learner workload, assessment methods and competencies achieved. Programmes developed in formal partnership with universities or other authorized higher-education institutions may additionally explore recognition through relevant academic credit frameworks, where applicable.

Technology Enhanced Professional Education

Through HERI Education, traditional CME/CPD is transformed into a modern digital learning experience. HERI integrates advanced educational technologies including:

  • AI-supported adaptive learning
  • Personalized learning pathways
  • Interactive clinical cases
  • Virtual and simulation-based learning
  • Digital assessment and competency evaluation
  • Microlearning and modular education
  • Learning analytics and progress monitoring
  • Automated certification and digital learning records

Educational programmes are continuously updated using recent peer-reviewed scientific literature, international clinical guidelines, systematic reviews and publications in leading scientific journals. This approach helps ensure that participants are exposed not only to established clinical knowledge, but also to emerging technologies, innovative treatments, artificial intelligence, digital health and new models of healthcare delivery.
